I'm not usually so critical of movies and I guess it's just that I was really intrigued and drawn in by the previews and the way the movie was presented before it came out.....I'm definitely not like Sumo who can tear a movie to shreds over plot holes lol!..I will see the sequel at some point and see how that one is handled.I won't pay to see it though,unless I piggyback it with a movie that I pay to see.

I didn't mind the ending. It didn't fill the purge from them because they had different reasons to purge. It's not about go kill anyone and make you feel better. It's about doing any crime you want and wouldn't normally be able to do. They all hated the family because they thought they were showing off their money; and that they tricked them into buying the lock down security systems. The kids were killing to fulfill a killing desire; the neighbors were killing because they effin hated the family because they were jealous. Yes they did some stupid effing things in regards to splitting up etc; but hey always happens in this kind of movie.

Also I'm sure there's lots of people that are crazy and don't show it and then all of a sudden boom! Ie school shootings; crazy postman; crazy mom that kills her kids - all real life examples.

geez, I just reread my post about this movie after I saw it. lol, I really tore them a new one. I don't even remember being so upset haha
it must have been really annoying for me to say those things.
from what I can recall, I remember getting annoyed as hell during the movie and how desperate they were trying to sell the creepiness of the bad guys, which they failed to do so.
I remember seeing the sequel trailer at the theaters too before a movie. not sure if I will see the sequel. I might though but it won't be a priority
The sequel was much better than the first one and soon comes the threequel.
Was it? I never bothered with the second...I figured it would just copy the first.
Yes it was,had a simple but more focused plot and some good action.I have actually watched it a few times.The main guy is back in this one at the story takes place fifteen years after the sequel.
2nd Purge was 10x better. Great movie, thought the 1st one was @ss, but now I'm hyped for the 3rd
