male or female unknown. the temp is currently at 78 and i have 2x emperor 400, fluval 205, xp2, eheim pro 2. i would love to get rid of the other 2 canister and run another pro 2 or maybe an fx5

The reason I asked about the temperature and fish gender is because my bass (of similar size) keeps building a nest (meaning it is a boy) with his tail which can make things a little messy. The temps I have are about the same as yours, but my bass thinks it is time to spawn during 8 months of the year.
Just wondering if your does the same thing.

no i havent noticed that at all. maybe its a female
 
love it i want everything your tank just put my fish in it.....thats the natural look i would love to have....i think it would look amazing with africans
