So guys, I just ordered a remora at my lfs. Anyone have tips?

I know they don't NEED a host, but was wondering if i anchored big plastic sea turtle i have in front of a powerhead, if he'd use that, as it would somewhat imitate natural conditions. Any tips/experiances?

I was offered one a while ago, but declined. The problem was no one knew what to feed them without a host. There natural diet consists of parasites I believe, so it may be a good idea to source food that resembles that. But what ? I have not got a clue.

ive caught one in FL and it was 3 ft long. kinda made me nervous to what it was attached to before i caught it.
Id do some more research before i got it. GL

Only tip I can offer is cancel the order.

What is wrong with them?
I researched into it, and the only downside to it is they grow very quickly, and need large tanks. EVERYTHING i read said they are incredibly good eaters and don't absolutely need a host .(even though i'm rigging something up that should somewhat take the place of one)

Am I missing something?

I would cancel the order to be honest unless you have a 10 thousand gallon tank with shark's so they can host and get the necessary food and etc...
