i have a convicit in with my rd and jags im trying to gt him out i have another tank set up for him if been tryn to catch him for a day and a half but i cant get him i have a 10 inch net but he always dodges in to the rocks and i cant get him any one have any tips like bait him with food in the net he is realy fast i dont want to empty the tank decor i dont want to stress my little rd and jags out eather any ideas

Use 2 nets. Drain some of the water so he has less space to "run" and chase him with one net into the other one. Those damn sobs are so hard to catch damn they are fast!!!

How big is the tank? Sometimes it's just best to suck it up and remove what rocks you need to remove. Tough luck yes , believe we've all been there LOL If you can - try using a net, AND a wooden rod - poke him from behind and have the net ready in front... SOMETIMES that works, often not.

It can get pretty frustrating in a big tank with lot of rocks or wood. I usually use 2 nets, 1 large and a medium and try to flush it into the big net with the other. If that doesn't work, as santoury said you may have to remove your decor.

PLUS - remember that lots of ****, literally, collects under rocks and such - It's always a perfect excuse to do a good solid gravel vac after removing some.

yeah, how big is your tank?...use 2 nets..

i had the same problem when i was getting my cons out of my tank.i ended up removing the decor and doing a major gravel vac.what you can also do if you dont mind waiting,is set a net in your tank and wait till he comes out again, then try to catch him.my con went right in the net when i was away from the tank.you can also use bait to get him into the net,but your other fish will probly try to eat the bait too so it doesnt always work.my oscar kept eating the bait befor my cons could even get to it
