removing scratches from glass tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
seen as i have a similar problem, except on a crystal glass aquarium i did some searching on google and also read about using Brasso to help get rid of minor scratches on glass... but i'm just curious, has any one ever tried this method??? since i'd be worried about any chemical residue that may stay behind and end up on the tank when it gets re-filled...

thanks for the input guys, i had heard about brasso as well, I was just hoping to clean the tank for sale, not for myself. i dont mind a little elbow grease, but using grinders and buffer stuff isnt my thing, i'm too afraid of busting my nails, lol. Oh and i did try the vinegar and water, didn't do a darn thing, i tried on the lids. I think i may just end up selling as is, bugger, was hoping for a quick fix. As for me I am using the money towards getting a new tank, can't wait, another 6 footer, woo hoo, my hubby is going to divorce me :nilly:, he was excited that i pulled down one tank, he he, until he realised what the money was to be used for.
