Anyone know how to remove silicone?

I have a 10 gallon that was supposed to be turned into a sump but then I broke the plexiglass down because I need a tank for fry.

Now, there are lines of silicone stuck to the sides of the tank.. any suggestions?

That stuff is REALLY hard to get off.. tried using bare hands, sharp scissors, and a random sharp junk

you'll need:

1. brand new razor blade
2. old dish rag (or similar) and some acetone
3. elbow grease

Scrape what you can with the razor blade, held as close to flat against the glass as you can. Use acetone on the rag to clean up what's still there. Razor again if needed.

nail pollish remover........ or just go to wallmart spend 10 bucks and get a new one

Err.. planning to go to home depot to get some stuff there...

Do they sell it there?

ya go buy a new tank to cheat to wory about

I don't know what crazyman meant. He's crazy. A few razor blades are less then a buck, just remember sharp side points away from you. :D

ok... I got all the big chunks off the tank and now theres are just like pieces stuck to the glass..

what do i do with the acetone? just rub it onto the stuff? and then use a blade to take it off?
