no no no. sorry for the confusion i will try to clarify.... The "tray" i refered to is a tray of pieces that include all in out tubing to and fro the tank. The black with the jet i have the flex tubing that connects that to the can i do not have. the other side that is light blue that sucks water out of the tank is what i am looking for. the flexible tubing i can get at ace or anywhere just the light blue pieces that suck water out of the fish tank. i have all the "guts, trays, motor, quick release, just not the light blue he said it was "dirty"

let me draw something up real quick.
You should be able to do it with PVC.

Sorry, this sucks. The check valve is there to suck air out to prime the filter. Once you get the thing primed put an air line from the check valve into the water so it wont suck more air in.

How do i get the waves on top....jjk lol! well the pvc sounds easy what are the critical factors i will have to adheer to? To avoid damaging the motor or anything else.

as long as the PVC part that you make is primed then it wont damage the motor. It will only suck as much as it blows (that sounds nasty)

I can try to explain it more but it sounds like you've got it lol. It's really pretty simple.

The actuall piece from the company is just for show? its not specificly designed to be optimal for the system? do they sell pieces of p.v.c bent already that i could use or do i need to get some 1-1/2 - 2" pvc cut into 5" pieces fab something to keep fish from being sucked, airline tubing,..... how bout the check valve never having seen this system operating i am imaging this all in my head. the intake on the machine should only fit one size of airline tubing so that shouldn't be hard just need a few more lil details sorry for being so "needy" but i usually throw stuff away and start over I have 2.5 kids right now (one on the way!) and would like to become more self sufficiant in my fishkeeping! thx in advance!

the pvc intake needs to be as big as the tubing that goes into the filter. You will have to get a couple of 90s to piece it together.
The check valve is an air line check valve that you can pick up at any LFS. it's only purpose is to be able to suck the air out of the system without letting more air back in.
There is really no need to have a "special" intake because the system works on suction. Whatever is sucked in will be blown out if that makes sense.

If you're familiar with cars think of it as a radiator.

Edit: You can put a PVC cap on the bottom of the tube (that is in the tank) and drill a bunch of holes in the tube if you're worried about sucking up fish.
