Hello,
I got a new xp3 the other day and it was missing one of the clamps. So Rena is sending me another clamp. I got tried of waiting (USA to Canada mail can be slow), so I went to the hardware store.
I am just wondering if anyone does not think a stainless steel plumbing clamp will not work for this filter? I don't want a hose to come off or anything haha.

Thanks

I figured it looks stronger than the plastic ones that come with it.
I am debating about replacing all my xp clamps with the stainless steel metal because I think they are safer and I can easily take it apart if I need to.
But there are always things in this world that I could be missing, hence this thread.
I think its fine, but just because I think it is fine, does not make it fine.
Maybe someone tried this already and it fails 3 months down the road, lol

You are good.

that steel is way better than plastic... good thinking!!

I dont use clamps on my xp3's at all.....those suckers are crazy tight if you push them on all the way....2 years, no problems...so yah...fine with metal clamps
