i think the steel clamp is better also. i will be replacing mine on my next trip to __________ fill in the blank ( hd lowes ace etc..... ) dave

I bought a used XP3 a while back w/o clamps and tubing. Bought some clear tubing and ss clamps at Ace Hardware and have had no problems. Keep those ss clamps on when the replacements come in. Remember plastic gets brittle and can break where as that clamp will have a rusted out screw in 10-20 years yet still hold.
