Hi everyone,

Figured I’d start a thread where people could post their non-fish renovation projects.

I’ve marked off here where I’m putting in a pool and doing a bit of a backyard renovation with a deck and pool house. Wish me luck!

Nice one.
A buddy and I jacked up the side of our house this summer to replace water damaged ribbon boards. 3 different contractors refused to take it on cause it’s a log home and they didn’t want assume liability if the whole wall collapsed. What do ya do? So this nurse and his electrician mate made it happen! Fun times 🤗

Our pool site prep & build in 2020. Covid summer project. Decently sloped area behind our house. Myself & 2 mates. None of us ever used a digger before. Fun times!

Took down a half wall in our great room w vaulted ceilings. Repurposed all the lumber to create a nice island. We used prefab cupboards from Home Depot. My electrician friend helped and re-ran all the wiring from the wall we removed into the island. The granite was professionally installed. Did I say I was an RN 😆 Fun times 🤗

Lastly, this summer also, my son & I power washed, once dry brushed cleaned & then sprayed our barn. It was raw lumber, never stained or painted, 15 years old. (We bought this place in 2020) Neither of us had ever used a sprayer before, and the absorption rates were varied. We removed the doors & painted them, and then painted the window trim in place. For a barn it turned out just fine, and saved us several thousand dollars in labor costs!
