repairing old tank with crumbling silicon

Use tape to make clean lines...The bottom edges on mine look bad because I tried to smooth them more after they had started to solidify, but I doubt it will matter. They will be covered anyway.
 
I put waaaay to much on partially due to poor lighting. The LFS said the spoons that come with a frosty at wendy's are perfect for shapping and applying a new seam. Just drag the end of it down the bead in the seam. It would have worked great if I hadn't used way to much. Oh well, I'll learn from my mistakes. Round two tomorrow.
