Well, day one of the move is past and no one died. We only ended up with 3 people!! LOL

First off, here is a couple shots of the tank from the front:

And a shot of the back with JD man hunched in the corner:

It's thick. VERY thick. Turns out that it weighs a bit more than Steve was told. Because of this we didn't get to remove it because it exceeded the trailers weight limit. It's in the 2200lb range.

We had to move it away from the wall with a comealong and a lot of chain. It was then hoisted from an I beam to help get it flipped back so it will fit through the doors:

A couple of the guys stepped in to help us flip it on it's back, which is where it is now sitting.

and here is a shot of JD_man inside of it while it's flipped on its back.

This is just a few pix and more will follow. Because we were shorthanded we didn't get to take step by step pictures.

Looks like a hell of a project. I think Brett needs to eat at Chipotle more often. He is a bit on the thin side. May have contracted a tapeworm from his loach tank. Want to sell them before they kill you JD?

Wow i seriously can't wait to see this tank up and running.......could be easily one of the coolest tanks on MFK.........

I forgot to add that a ratcheting comealong rated at 2 tons broke and the tank dropped about a foot during part of this. It scared the hell out of me!

wow.. that thing is huge. good luck with the rest of the moving,

Holly crap! Sorry if I missed the plan for this monster. Where is the tank being taken out of? Where's it going? What is it made of? What was in there, and future occupants?

Sorry, just got excited there for a sec......LOL

It's leaving a pet store, going to Repairs fish building, it's made of steel and thick plastic (recycled trash bags lol) with an acrylic front, it had saltwater in it and in the future it will have cichlids in it I believe.
