replacement pump

Hi guys I got to replace the pump on my setup. my tank is 4x8x2. Plumbing is 1 inch and my head height is about 5 foot tall. I have 2 1 inch lines from the pump's to the tank and 4 1 inch returns from the overflow to the sump. I am looking for two pump's that will about max out the flow that the 1 inch will allow. I have a wet dry sump so the pump needs to be submersible. thank you for any help or input.

I say get the cor20 Ive had it in my setup for over a year and love it . I’ve had cheaper pumps in the past and regretted it I would say if u have the money get a higher end pumps

Jebao dct pump. Quiet and efficient.

Buy a couple of the big Jeabo pumps and use the pump controllers that comes with them to reduce the flow down to what you need.

Another vote for Jebao here. I’d recommend two of the Jebao DCP 15000’s. That is their newest line of pumps and they are very quiet, very efficient, and flow a lot of water. I use two of the DCP 8000’s on my 220 and they flow about 1500 gph at 60% each.

I have the jebao for my water changer and I think they have a whining Noise too them but for the price u can’t really go wrong I guess . I just would not want to here that if your tank is in a main room

The trick to the Jebao pumps is to get an oversized pump and run them at a lower power level. This keeps them silent and is also good for the pumps longevity.

Actually the newest line of their pumps is the DCQ's (red color). Not too much difference between the two but the DCQ also has a wave function besides the feeding mode, so maybe good for saltwater set ups. But much agreed, quiet, efficient, good flow and good value for money. Never had a noisy one either.

Yeah I think the DCQ's are still making their way into US/Canada, not super easy to find there yet (there are a few listings though on ebay and amazon), though they've been out about maybe 9 months here in SEA I'd reckon.

I'm currently running a DCQ-3500 in my 115 gallon Kamfa tank (just goes to a Sunsun pre-filter then UV sterilizer). Works a charm and quiet as anything, the air pump is way louder. I plan to get another one of the same model to put inside this tank's internal corner filter (currently has a normal Sobo pump). I also have DCT & DCP pumps on other tanks, no problems and equally happy with them.

Side note: I mention about a suspected issued with the pump not reaching it's max power rating (28 watts) -- a viewer made the correct point that max wattage will be influenced by how much head pressure you have on the unit.
