hey, animal cruelty is animal cruelty. purposely killing a fish, is the same as killing a dog or a cat. its still killing another animal

its an experiment comon give the lady a break...they even say right in the artical it was based on lab done test so its ok for goverment sponsored scientist to do it but not a reporter who is trying to get the word out on a toxic product?
 
for one fish dont feel pain and for two im fine with experiments being done on animals countless numbers of lives have been saved because of it and I would never hold a animals life above that of a humans.

haha now obviously i'm being completely sarcastic and while i don't agree with the practice mentioned, people have a tendency to be complete hypocrites.

High school bio not your strong suite is it. All vertebrates feel pain. As far a legitimacy of the experiment. Bull****. Just because a product will kill fish by being absorbed into the gills (try inhaling shampoo) does not mean it is toxic if you wash your hair with it. I can find tons of badly done experiments that prove nothing but were done for shock value. Look up some of the crap that Edison used to push DC over AC for starters, and not just with lower vertebrates but long pig too.

While I fundamentally dis like animal experiments for now they are needed for our good and theirs. Just like humans need food, no way around that. However killing animals for shock value on TV is crap, and doing so for fun (as opposed to enjoying gathering food) is FUBAR.
