So your life is just as important as that of a fish? would you trade the life of a child for the life of a monkey?

Ofcourse it would depend on the situation if I had to choose between eating and starving I would take the life of the fish, only because I had too not because I view myself as some sort of superior being the should feel nothing when taking the life of another animal.

As for the child again would depend on the situation in most cases if possible I would try to choose something that save both. In the only example that I can think of is when some dumbass kid starts abusing an animal like say a dog and the dog snaps and attacks the kid as far as I am concerned the kid gets what he deserves. But if there was say a fire and I had to choose between saving a kid vs saving (insert animal) I ofcourse would save the kid first and try to go back for the animal.

These kinds of discussions always get no where because most humans can't see value in any life other than there own.

for one fish dont feel pain and for two im fine with experiments being done on animals countless numbers of lives have been saved because of it and I would never hold a animals life above that of a humans.
You are incredibly ignorant. That is one of the most bogus myths in existance, it has long been established that fish DO feel pain. I accept medical expiramentation as a necessary evil, but I don't try to rationalize it by deluding myself that fish or other animals don't feel pain.

humans are animals too. I don't understand why there are comparisons between the value our lives and the lives of animals. A life taken is a life taken. If anything, there are more of us on this world than there are animals like monkeys. I'm not saying the guy should be arrested for killing the guppies, but animal cruelty is animal cruelty. He should have thought it through before he did what he did.

Seems like a waste of good feeders to me

It was a stupid, unscientific experiment performed for shock value. Everyone who has kept fish very long knows that soap of any type is deadly to fish, her experiment proved absolutely nothing, but killed guppies for shock value.

Wow, she killed some guppies...
How horrendous...
(Sarcasm...)
That she killed them doesn't bother me. I've used them for feeders myself. It's the why and how.

Well, not saying it's good to do that, but I certainly don't think it deserves any punishment, especially not in court...
