Here are some of the books I mentioned.

I was pretty impressed with the Autubon Society Field Guide. Good pics of specimens, well laid out, easy reading. It has its limitations, but a must have for the layman.

just a request, please check your spelling... Sorry to get off topic. I have a couple field books, I'll see what they're called later.

She just went from happy healthy to wasting away in a week before that about a she started acting a little off and she had a couple of lumps in her belly my husband was out of town so when he got back a few days later we took her to the vet they checked her out and said she was fine then she started to eat less so we went back to the vet she started losing weight we went back to the vet once again said she was fine then she just started getting worse eyes sunk in hips started showing we took her back in I got x rays taken and asked for a ultra sound and blood work and they said they didn't really know much about them they referred us to a vet 4 hours away it was a Fri afternoon they didn't have any appointments and went open on sat the vet couldn't even read the X rays she took. We lost her on Sunday she waited for my husband to get home it was my falut I should have took her some where else:( my husband us gone alot so it was me her and the fish most the time I miss her soo much.

In my opinion, Peterson's field guide is much better. It also has excellent plates but each plate points out a distinguishing feature and it contains juvenile plates too. I have both and use both but I have worn through 2 of my petersons guides and am working on a third copy because I use it so much in the field.
