expo is still a good place to meet good herp people, just dont think that because it is a herp expo they are all good, thats all. crested geckos are really good too. they are handlable (once they get used to you, but that applies to any "handlable" pet) they eat crested gecko diet (a powder you mix with water to make a paste), baby food, and i think occasionally crickets. i think they are cooler looking. they should not go above about 80F so you usually dont need a heat lamp (75F is their optimal temp i think). and if you give them the right diet they dont need full spectrum lighting. the right diet would be the crested gecko diet, or baby food with a calcium/vitD3 supplement powder, or a mix of the 2. easy to breed too, if that is a consideration for you. i would think it would be hard to get a day gecko to settle down for you, even if it is possible for some people. they both need higher humidity though, but that is easily provided. im not getting the emails saying there is a reply here, so if i dont reply to you, just send me a private message or something like that.
