I'm sorry I couldn't help but comment on this. A full grown ball python can and most likely will reach 5 feet and about 9 - 15 inches at it's thickest point. A snake of that size could barely even fit itself in a 30 gallon tank. Not trying to flame your or anything just wanted to clear the air. I understand why you would think a 30 gallon is good for a ball because you rarely see them at a pet shop when full adult size.

Actually MOST keepers keep thier BP's in even smaller enclosures. They are a secretive animal that does not do well in large enclosures. I am well aware of how large a BP can be and am also well aware that a standard 30 gallon is plenty large for one.

Also I have an 11' boa that isnt even 9" at its thickest point. LOL!!!

Tokays are okay as display, too many people try to hand train them. That's why I asked if he want a docile one or a display one.

Anyway for a 30 gallons, you should be able to get a ground-dwelling gecko or two of some sort, unless you are looking for something else.

what about a GREEN SNAKE and A couple of GREEN ANOLES? and if so how many anoles

What's the dimension of your 30 gallons? I am guessing it is a standard 30 galllons. That would means the inside dimension would be 36 1/4" x 12 5/8" x 16 3/4". If the guys over at CaptiveBred.co.uk are right about the rough green snakes... they would need a 36" x 18" x 18".

Green anoles? I have to get back you on that... I usually keep one anole for every 20 gallons. However other anole keepers have a different rule of thumb.

If you're going to keep green anoles and a rough green, remember they should never be handled. They are skittish.

Couldn't agree more with you Walls. A 30 gallon tank is ideal for a ball python. Most people recommend 20 gallon longs, so a 30 is even better.

Ummm....I gonna have to disagree with this a little. While its certainly possible for a BP to hit the 5 foot mark, most do not. Females average at around 4.5 ft, while males rarely make it past 4. And I just took some tape measure out to check for myself....any BP with a girth of 15" is horribly obese. I'd accept 12" for a gravid female, but that's pushing it.

Havign said all that, I think a 30 long would adequate for a male, but still too cramped for a female.

Yes it is a standard 30 gallon tank ok so no green snake are there any snakes that would be suitable for the 30 gallon with 2 greena anoles?

Your not really going to get away with mixing any snakes with the anoles.......You should never really mix herps..........

What kind of green snake are you talking about? Rough, Smooth or Red Tail Rat Snake? I'm guessing a Rough, they are insectivores and are hard to keep, very specific requiremnets. As for mixing them with lizards, I see it all the time but advise against it.
