A little bit about myself:

Hey guys! YES ! I am a fish lover, will always be a fish lover! Ha! But recently, I have upgraded to a 60 gallon for my Oscars, and now have a 25 gallon aquarium which will soon be empty.

There is not much choice of fish I can keep in something of that size (2.5 ft length and nearly a foot width).

I live in Australia, and have applied for my Reptile License…the question is… I want something beautiful… and NON-VENOMOUS (not a ball python lol, too big for me to handle, since I am a newbie...never kept reptiles)

Suggestions? :D

I wouldnt keep a snake that can reach 6 foot in a tank with a footprint of 30x12

IMO, it's rare for them to get big, and they average in the 4' to 5' range. Also, my main point was that they're not difficult to care for and certainly are beginner friendly; of course, that aquarium isn't big enough for an adult, but it could work as a grow-out.

Lol its not that bad and shouldnt require more than cleaning and a band aid. Ive had a 5 foot retic bite my face and that wasnt even that bad

Imo carpets are more likely to bite than a ball python. Your tank is too small for the long term. Perhaps a children's or spotted would be better, though they too are nippy.
