Reading pa reptile show tomorrow, def going and cant decide what to get, i have an empty 10 gal, 55 gal and a stacking snake cage thts 2ftX3ft wideX1ft high. Want to try to keep it to one new pet.
Bearded dragon?
Leopard gecko?
Milk snake?
Corn snake?
Kingsnake?

What equipment do you already have?

A bearded dragon isn't going to work in any of those long-term for various reasons. A leopard gecko or two would be great for the 10 gallon aquarium. Any of those snakes would work in the snake cage although it's a bit big for a baby of any of those rather you'd want to buy an adult if you wanted to put it directly in there.

For the beardie i alrdy have the heat lamp, need to pick up another lamp for uvb tho would rather useing a heat mat for him. Have sand as substrate in the 55 gallon now, but would feed outside the cage, have reptile carpet for the 55 also, would jst need some fun stuff for him inside the cage, i could easily upgrade later on.

A 55G is plenty for a beardie which is my vote but if you got a leopard gecko you could get multiples like 4 in a 55G for sure or even for the snakes since they are small beginner snakes and very cool.

A 55is way to skinny for a beardie. My vote is a trio of leopard geckos for the 55

King snake, they are beautiful ferocious reptiles that are not picky about what they eat and are easy to care for (less heating equipment).

A 55 is fine for a beardy as long as its not fully grown, my beardy is 10+ years old and was in a 75 gallon his whole life, but all he does is sit on his dw all day and bask, doesn't really move unless eating cuz he's so old, now his home is a comfy 40b and its plenty of space with 18" width

Imo the width is key, 12" is pushing it.
