Can anyone recommend any website where I can buy reptile supplies (specifically snakes)for my ball pythons new tank? Thanx in advance.

You can get most cage-building supplies at Home Depot, as well as lights and heating.

Try LLLReptile.com for almost anything. For an amazing frozen rodent source for your ball, try rodentpro.com. Proexotics.com can provide you with a temp gun, great books, and lots of info. Blackjungle.com can get you almost anything if you want a naturalistic viv.

Any other recommendations you need, just ask. I got a million of 'em. (literally)

You can get the same tempguns at Proexotics in auto shops as well.

True, but its always nice to buy within the biz. Auto shops dont exactly contribute towards the hobby. :)

However many of us don't like to order off the Internet or deal with crappy stores. :D

I didnt list any crappy stores. I can point you in the direction of plenty of them...

Well, I have my doubts about LLL just from some of the things I've seen on their site, and I've heard some pretty nasty things about rodentpro. Pro Exotics, now I've got respect for them as snake breeders, and I know it's good to show confidence in the reptiles you produce, but those guys are just arrogant and it turns me off as a potential customer. That's up to you though.

I buy my snakes and heat tape from "within the biz." If you can find other supplies at Lowe's or wherever for a better price, which you often can, go for it. It's economics, and if people who specialize in reptile supplies aren't going to bend, it's their loss.

I agree for the most part. LLL does good supplies, but their animals are far from great. Pro Exotics is a TAD arrogant, but that doesnt stop them from being, well, good.
