Requesting some help and advice.

4 days they are still getting used to you, give them a few more days and they should start to perk up. The feeders have to stop as you know. Try starting pellet training them with Hikari massivore, you might have to break it up to start after they are eating that you can switch them slowly to somthing else if you want. They might take some freez dried krill too after a while. Pics would be great if you could post some. You'll need 5 posts before you can post them however.

Alrighty, i was trying the largest Hikari Pellets without going to massivore so i suppose i'll go pick up a bag of the massivore tomorrow.
and i do have pretty good pictures of the ailments that i will be posting when i get a chance.

As to the stopping of feeders i completely agree i have seen the feeders in the shop and couldn't even think about letting a fish i really care about consume them.

it would help to see photos of the "boils on their lips", as that might be a bacterial infection & would require medication. and possibly lower temps instead of higher.

Alrighty just got my 5th post.

Thanks for posting the pictures, they help.

Yes, that is HITH, you will need to treat with Metronidazole. It can be purchased at your LFS or you can use API General cure which is a combination of Metro & Prazi. Follow the instructions on the package. It is also a good idea to soak some food in the Metro but if they aren't eating just add to the water as directed. You can continue to use the salt in conjunction with the meds without fear of contradiction. Don't worry too much right now if the fish don't eat this is common and once you finish treatment they should come around. While your at the store look for a vitamin supplement in the form of liquid (Vita-Chem) or a vitamin block that can be droped into the tank directly. An increase in vitamin C is very benificial to helping boost the immune system and speed recovery. The wort on the chin is common with Oscars and may not be pathological and doesn't require any additional treatment at this time. Good luck and keep us posted. I'm pulling for these guys!

Alrighty, i will go get the Metronidazole, and they did eat yesterday voraciously ~20 off the massive pellets.

I shall also look for some vitamin blocks to help them out. and as to the wart i thought it was because he is quite a digger.

And last but certainly not least i found a home for them!!!! after my next paycheck i will be meeting a fellow oscarlover who can take this breeding pair at a middle point and will be giving them over to him he has a setup 125 gallon tank for them so they can finally have a good home!

After they have gone there i will be cleaning the tank and all the strappings with a vinegar/water solution and then start to cycle the tank while i look for some cool and fun oscars or other fish to stock it with!

I will keep the thread up to date on how the fish are doing!
