RES enclosure big enough for life?

The 150 gallon kiddy pool is 12 inches deep, and 5ft around. I havent determined my turtles sex yet, but It's name is Dorothy Mantooth... :ROFL:

a little deeper would be better but sounds like you'll have a happy turtle the only thing about kiddy pools is they don't last as long as you'd like but inside it will hold up for a while

If the front claws look longer then the back claws, then you have a male. BUt i pretty sure the turtle still wouldnt mind being called Dorothy Mnatooth!
 
I'll check the claws today, and I dont really Think it minds being called Dorothy Mantooth either. I call it a he, and sometimes a she. :ROFL:

That's true, but they're so cheap you could buy a new one every year and who would care?

I know there's one that's a bit bigger, 18" deep maybe...might be a good choice.

I'll try and find that one, but the ones that '' deep was on sale for bucks,'' Haha! So the 18'' probably isnt much more. :headbang2

moxxommox speaks the truth. you need to get a bigger tub so you can have more water. you also don't say how big the RES is.
 
His carapace is about 6'' at the moment.

I tried to take some pics, but they all sucked. If its nice out Monday I'll take some pics of hime outside.
