I have a RES that lives with 2 convicts, 2 minnows in a 55 gallon tank. I want to add a pictus because they look like mini RTC and thats cool. My turtle sucks at catching fish. but lets say if she does catch the pictus and tries to eat it, will the pictus spike pierce my turtle's throat and kill it?

lol 8 bucks is nothing compared to losing my beloved turtle. she will spent 4th year in my care at the end of the month lol
I wouldn't do it...have you ever seen pictus fight with eachother? I had a trio for a few years and they would have little quarrels where they would jab eachother and make that noise they make. I also removed them from being stuck in a net many times while working at a pet store...majority of the time if i wasn't careful i ended up with the spine in my finger...they are friggin sharp. I don't see it being worth choking, injuring, or poking the turts eye out.
