Hey guys/gals, you may recall a relatively recent thread where I rescued my old blood parrot from an ex-friend; whereupon she was diagnosed with anchor worm, among being housed with far more aggressive cichlids I suspect.
It's testament to blood parrots in general just how resilient they can be, nonetheless I was very anxious to bring this BP to full health; as I felt (still feel) extremely guilty for giving her away originally.
Anyway, she was treated with anti-crustacean meds, which look to have killed the anchorworm. I'm not getting too elated just yet, as she has a mark on her tail that I'm watching closely; however, she is looking far better since being rescued, and is currently sharing my 52 gallon long with some tiger barbs, Odessa barbs, and corydoras!
Will get more pics soon!
