so i got these 2 off a guy that said he didnt want them as he couldnt keep anything with them and they had killed his other fish, when i got them i noticed that the big one (male?)has alot of scaring down his sides and hasnt got much colour where as the little one (female?)is brightly coloured but has a clowdy eye.
was just wondering if anyone could tell me what type of flowerhorns they are and if the bigone will ever get his colour back?as the previous owner said he used to be really colourfull.
thanks

poor thing! what the hell happened to the males side? be careful its not the female. get a divider

been watching them closely over the week ive had them and if anything he chases her,the guy told me he had them with parrots and he got the scaring fighting with them also i tested the ph of his water that i got the fish in and it was ph 5 so dont think that would have done them any favours.
he does look alot better since i got him but dont think he will ever get his colour back but i dont care hes still an awsome fish in my eyes.

Wow. I think most people here would "rescue" them in a second. Nice looking kok on the male.

They are beautiful. great save. You will have a great pair there. the parrots did not cause those scars. Parrots cant cause scarring like that...might of been that female or other tankmates. Good luck, his color will slowly return. Give him good care and a healthy environment and they will flourish. They are awesome !!!!

BTW ZZ....

Poor things, Im so glad you rescued them. They will be very pretty once you get some good food into them. They are actually very nice now.
