Rescued a B. Yarelli

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i agree, they look really cool, i cant wait to see more pics

look in my galleries. I dont have a tank of my own anymore (except for my mom's flowerhorn show tank....yeah like i'll drop the little yarelli in there), but Ill try to get the best pics possible.

He is currently in a holding tub with an RTC of the same size (who needs some rehabilitation too)

he needs cool fast flowing water and high oxygen levels. there not active, love to sit in fast powerful flowing water.
in the wild they sit in the flow and catch passing pray.

awsome cats ive had a couple. the largest one i had was 12 or 14" and it was stunning. they are really relaxed calm fish. i was able to pick him up and move him out of the way, stroke him and never needed to net him should i wish to remove him from the tank.

ide have one now as i know were thereis 2 about 4" but i only have high temp tanks so it isnt fare on the cat if i put it in there.

oh yer and it could be bagarius bagarius, not a yarelli they are about identical to look at. one gets 12" one gets 6ft!

wayne the pain is the guy to talk to on these guys.

thtd be awesome if it was the bargarius bagarius

well we shall see in a month or two. Either ways, I do have a waterfall set-up for the pond when it was a koi pond, so I think I'll be utilizing it more now for the yarellis when they're ready for the pond.

sweet
