  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice save I hope he recovers. He may take a few days to start eating. Was he eating at the fish store at all? If so ask them what he was eating. Although they sound like morons it wouldnt hurt to call and ask them. Other from that freeze dried blood worms because they float or live brine shrimp are usually very enticing to a baby aro. To get my babies to start eating I take a little pipet like what u do water tests with and suck some live brine into it and gently squirt a few brine close to their mouths. Once they work up a good appetite you can stop doing it his way

GOOD LUCK

hey everybody!

Haven't been on here in a while, but wanted to update on this situation. The aro didn't end up making it :(

I'm not sure what it was or if it had to do with the extensive damage, but I ended up buying an ornate bichir out of the same brackish tank. He died too. May have been the switch from brackish to fresh. Is it normal to keep aros and bichirs in brackish tanks?

Anyway on a brighter note I bought a baby jaguar on Sunday. He is about 2 inches, and doing great in the tank so far. The oscar doesn't bother him, and he has plenty of places to hide so I think he will be ok.
