RESCUED ARAPAIMA GIGAS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeh the feeders were really pissing the jar off plus they were creating so much waste. i had to remove more than half of them and throw them in the pond. now the tank is much cleaner and more peaceful. the arapaima seems to be doing very well. its stomach is bulging and he seems vry active :)

Cute...You are lucky to live in such a climate where you can keep all sorta of lovely monster sized fish outdoors. Your lake and pond both make me envious.

hahaha..
pima always bulging their belly..
never ending..their hunt all the time..
keep postin'

thanks guys i had to take out more than half of the feeders cause they were dirtying the water. i might have to buy baby carp instead of talapia cause talapia tend to be aggressive so my two marble/rtc are extremely scared and refuse to eat them :s didnt know they wud be such sissies

I'm glad to see its going well.

But your pond has to be a biological mess...since its the dumping ground.

freakin awesome. post pics of the lake, and good luck!!!

nah if u think about how big the pond is (including depth) and how small the feeder fish are they make up almost nothing....eventhough i threw half the feeders in i can barely even see them unless i look really carefully. plus the big cats probabably ate them all

He's a cute little guy, I hope he does well. How big is he now?
