yeah, ....I almost ate the one i had....hahahaha
damn, i picked up a free ten gallon tank from a neighbor, and they had the same thing, a 5-6 inch tinfoil and 8-10 inch pacu....along with probably 20 little cichlids of different sorts. they said it took one year for the pacu to get from 2 or 3 inches up to 8-10. thats crazy. he even was wearing some scales off on his nose from bumping the tank. i took him, and eventually got rid of him to someone with a huge tank. for a while, i had a 12 inch gar, 20 inch aro, 10 inch pacu, 6 inch royal, and 7 inch iridescent shark....it was like....stress city. all in a 75.
anyways....good luck with getting him gone, I do love pacus....if a had a big enough tank. they eat...literally anything. I would throw grapes in there, or any kind of fruit imaginable. I dont think it refused a damn thing. loved pears the most. I think it ate broccoli once....
ps. theres a place on 47th bear western in chicago that sells like....3 foot pacus....theyre enormous for around 150. they have a back room....and its a huge tank with 5-6 monster pacus, and directly across from that tank, theres a cage with small bunnies in it....I always feel bad for those bunnies.........they must be terrified.
