Oh..one more question. Does gill curl heal? is it fatal for him?...Do I even need to do the melafix treatment before I put him in the 265 if its not a wound like I thought it was?

gill curl i have been told will heal with good water and time, and i don't think its fatal (some people go for an "op" to cut away the problem, i dont think this is a good plan unless you know for sure what you are doing!!!). i would do the do the melafix treatment before putting him in the intended tank (it will only help)

the gash looks bad on his left side. good luck.

the gash to me does not look like gill curl..... more like the gill cover is missing!!!

Hope he heals up for you.

Syno. eupterus will do fine with big CA's, not sure if you've ever seen terd ferguson's tank with the big parachromis pairs in there but he's got a couple eupterus in there and they do fine, and are apparently awesome scavengers.

syno eruptus aka african featherfin and a nice one at that those fins are awesome. hope he heals but i dont know how he would do in the 265 theyre a little nippy

Me too! I have seen Terds awesome tank and thanks for pointing that out. I always wondered what scavengers those were in his.

Cool! Hopefully he'll be ok in there. The only thing smaller than him is a male dovii (larger ones are festae, carpintis, RTM pair & female dovii).

featherfin squeaker!
