Hello all. This week I got a large(26") silver arowana. The guy I got him from rescued him from a tank that was in an office and hadn't had a water change in 2 years. So thats the story I was told. The transfer to my house went well and it seem to get along with its tank mates. They where feeding him pellet food. He has lost his fins, but seem to be growing back. What do all of you feed your large arowana's. Is there something more I can give him?

when I had my arowanas I fed them defrosted deveined detailed raw shrimp small pieces of tilapia fillet, earthworms were a fav, and carni sticks by hikari
Could we see some pics of the aro please? pieces of tilapia fillet, anchovies, pellets (most of them have the same ingredients.. some smell fishier than the other.. as long as the aro takes a decent quality pellet.. then thats good)
The pics are not that good as you can see. Those a full grown oscars and a full grown Jag cichilid. You can see how his fins are all but gone. Since I have had him he has not eaten yet. Been a few days. Going to keep my hopes up that he makes it.
I woke up the other morning and he was floating. I tried to give him a good home, but guess it was to later.
