very nice rescued, will be better in no time...

As long the fish is eating well, the rest will heal back nicely by itself.

The good thing, at least, is that this XB is eating like a monster.

Koji, do you think that its scales can regrow normally. I mean, turn out round, or tehy will stay a bit deformed even when they regrow back.

the shape and shine level looks good

the scales all look bruised and some may even drop off
infection is the main thing you need to watch out for if you don't have a UV on the tank i would recommend one
if you do have a UV it maybe a good idea to slow the flow rate down a bit

it looks bruised under the scale

it may heal up fine but i have never had a aro beat up like that and just seen picture of such damage

Good lookin' rescue. You'll heal him up nicely, I'm sure.

The pics on the other hand, are terminal.

I kid, I kid!! The pics are actually pretty good, Ek. :)

From what I see, they should regrow back nicely back to original roundish shaped. As long there's no secondary infection. It's gonna take some time before the scales can fully recover but surely they will.

A small dose of calcium from coral chips do make wonders.:)
