Canada eh
Fill it if you can and Check the seams between the panels if the silicone looks white then it is being stressed or pull apart.
If it looks normal then you’re good.
If it looks okay then I would just do a reseal on the inside.
I bought a 220 that the silicone was actually coming out I used the RTV silicone and did a complete tear down and rebuild.
That was in 2009 it’s still holding.
RTV is really good.
What is rtv? I am toying with the idea of keeping my current 180 after I move. I would need to take it apart, buff out all the scratches and drill holes for a sump. Just wondering if this was worth it.

Keep us updated on this project P PYRU look forward to seeing your outcome.

Matteus Matteus RTV is just short for RTV 100 series silicone from momentive
Specifically RTV108 is what I used.
It has an adhesive quality and once completely cured is very strong much stronger than GE 1 silicone.

Thank you BIG-G BIG-G I might give it a try on my 30 g as a tester.

P PYRU what did you use on your previous 135, was that the rtv?

On the 135 I used the same rtv 108. I've also used Scs1200 on a 120 & 125. ASI is another good one

I can document it if you want. I have to cut out the overflow boxes, clean the whole thing, reseal, & do the sump

This makes me feel better. What silicone did you use?
I used the GE brand. It comes in a big tube and goes in a culking gun......much cheaper than buying silicone from lfs.

Where are you getting a reef ready 180 for $800 new?
Marineland runs specials to vendors, lfs watched for them to come thru with one, ordered thru vendor and sold me a tank. Obviously it didnt include durso pipes or glass tops at that price.

All I have around me are petco' pet supplies plus, and petsmart. The others are small and 180s run like 1200+

If I can order one from them for 800 drilled I'm sold.
