Their are some very good write up's on resealing, just do some research. good luck

OK I have stripped all the old caulking off finally. While I was stripping down the tank I had a idea, tell me if this would work or even be a good idea. I thought what if I instead of caulking the tank I would apply epoxy paint or some other sealer that would be fish safe. would this work or does the caulking give the tank some structural benifit ?

I was thinking of getting a can of this http://www.homehardware.ca/en/rec/i.../No-120/Ntk-All_EN/R-I2035580?Ntt=ponds&Num=0

Is there any fish safe product out there that I could paint over my silicone to help seal all the corners. I am paranoid that it will leak again

If it's properly sealed using silicone, there is no need to use anything else.
