i have a 30 hex that had tons of leaks on the sides.i removed all the old sealant and applied a double coat of the new sealant between the glass sides, let dry, another layer on the inside smoothed over and one on the outside.it was fish safe silicon sealant made by dap.before i through away the empty sealant tube i read it again and some words just jumped out at me
,"not for use on aquariums exceeding the height of eighteen inches".
SOOOOONNNNN OFFFFFF AAA BEEEEEEAAAAACHHHHH INN WIIINTTERRRR!!!!!!
i gave it 48 hours to dry and couldnt smell the sealant anymore.i filled it outside and the tank held water for 72hours with no leaks or exploding.
is it safe or do i need to go through the whole PITA process again with a different sealant and post this in that mess up forum?
