resealing an aquarium(sigh)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I hear angels do well in hex tanks, hex tanks dont give you many options sadly but look good, best for tree frogs...

omg clowns and salt water sound awesome!!!!!!
ive learned alot about freshwater in my short time being involved, but nothing about saltwater..
it sounds alot more complicated

Saltwater can be complicated but you can also keep it simple, I feel like many people over think it, I had a salt tank for a few months but my fish jumped. I treated it just like fresh but I added salt to the water.

If you do just fish and live rock you shouldnt need anything greater, its when people start gettign into corals, frags, etc that make it more difficult. Saltwater fish do tend to be more temperamental to changes such as ph and salinity but fish like damsels and clowns are pretty hardy.

yea avoid saltwater, i bought a 20 gal mini reef tank, "just to try it out" now I have a 180 gal money pit downstairs.

yeah im gonna look into the puffers and angel fish.
only one species in the hex though? two angel fish or two puffers? one puffer?puffer and angel??

thanks for the words

puffers dont get along well with others, but I have heard of people having some luck with multiple puffers or multiple angels, mixing isnt a good idea though, if you could find dwarf puffers they seem to get along alright with others of the same and are strictly freshwater (unlike the walmart ones which are brackish), or just go with some pretty angels.
