Some things I learned about sealing tanks:
I have been inside of a 180, and I'm not tiny, like 260 lbs. If you are really worried about cracking it put a couple small pieces of plywood where you are going to kneel/stand. This was the best way I found to make sure I had it scraped well.
After you have it 100% scraped put a fresh blade in and do it again. There can still be a very thin coat that will mess up the new seal.
I masking tape off the glass where I don't want the silicone to be. After you silicone it immediately pull off the tape or it will pull up the silicone. To smooth out the corners use a plastic spoon. I don't remember who posted it but I read that somewhere on MFK and it works great.
Wait a good week before you move or fill it. Longer if you can.
+2 on the respirator
good luck
