Maybe he means do not move the tank while the silicone is not cured. Silicone is flexible stuff, i move tanks around all the time and never popped a seal due to it. However i have seen tanks damaged to improper transporting. If you push too hard on the side say going up and down stairs, the side panels can slide in or out which would lead to tank disassembly.

Yes, that silicone is fine i have a tube also. It's worth a shot to try to seal it if you have the extra time to spare for curing. If you wanted to reseal the whole tank you would need to go to Home Depot anyway, it took me about a tube and a half to do my 125.
So basically if this doesn't work, you would only need the rest of current tube and one more to do the whole tank. It would suck to be resiliconing then run out half way through the job.

Yes understandable. Ill probably start the job tomorrow morning hopefully. I got a heck of a deal i must say. I traded my 8gb ipod touch for the 125 gall tank with stand hood 2 filters and tons of decorations. Im changing the hood and stand though.. What kind of hood do you have on yours? I dont know whats good since this is my first large tank. My biggest tank was a 36 gal bow. Im taking a big leap. Lol
Mine just have pieces of glass and eggcrate. Wood canopies are cool tho, why do you want to get a different one?
Doesn't sound that cheap, that tank will require 2 heaters. Glass lids, lights, and 2 heaters will set ya back pretty good. Better go find another Ipod to trade lol.
