RTB are cheap, especially the big one...

$150 o.o

Want one? ^^

I was just thinking of a RTB. Because I remember when I babysat the two, they where great. Such a handfull, great to handle and look pretty. Not to mention cheap.

If I do get a RTB, I think I will get a female, their fun ;)

Yeah, RTBs are awesome. They get to a "big" size, but not unmanagable for most people. They also have a great temperment. I'm hoping in the next couple years to get my first snake and I'm planning on a red tail

if ya get a red tail look around, i put two pics up of two regular red tails but look at the color difference.

i was thinking RTB as well,
how about a coastal carpet. slightly smaller than you want but nice snakes.

Ive had carpets before and they take way to long to grow. I'm going to stick with a RTB here. Does anyone know when the 09's are out?

Go for a BCC not a BCI redtail. The BCI max out around 8 feet or so. But a BCC can get to be 12 feet for a female. Great snakes. I have two BCIs...one is about a 6 foot male who is probably still growing. (age unknown) But spend even less and rescue one. Lots of RTBs in rescues all over the country. People pick them up in pet stores and then abandon them when they reach 5+ feet. They are great snakes though.

Dude even dwarf retics get close to 10 feet pretty easily but they are way out of the price range your looking for. Dwarf Burms are like $2000 and any 'conda you get is going to be too big. There is some cool looking medium sized pythons out there. I like White-lipped Pythons, the black phase are usually about $400 but the more common gold phase are pretty reasonable about $200 I think. They are easily the most beautiful unmarked snakes out there. Super irridescent! The better looking normal RTB's are the suriname local usually lighter with pink sides and bright red on the tail. There is lots of other cool options out there but the price range really limits you to the really common stuff.
