What if you post a Sad story on cl on how you cant buy stands/tanks/food for your fish and would like donations and than Flip them on cl

Not sure if that's the right thing to do. Lol.

That's the type of thing you end up doing then you get shanked on the way back to your car or something. I'll pass.

There's better ways of helping those in need, if someone stoops that low their not gonna get very far anyways....

Hopefully

The hobby is just so expensive, especially with tanks, some fk's are held back by space and some are held back with stock....i think the way the economy is DIY fiberglass/plywood tanks are going to get more and more popular, I mean to have a glass box that can hold 100+ gallons that can self sustain proper enviroments to keep some of the most rare and unseen wild fish is pretty awesome/advanced. But again expensive

My dad does it all the time!!! He a pawn broker from south carolina, that owns his own pawn shop in dillon sc.. In his spare time he searches craigslist in search of deals. The key to it is to look for items that have "OBO" beside them, and dont discuss price untill youre face to face with the seller!!!

I do this a lot I made a lot of money. If you know more about the item then the seller you usually get some great deals.

i try to scam people all the time on craigslist. i list items really cheap with my phone number. not so low, where you know its def a scam. like 25$ for a 55g long tank. bites all day everyday. i give them my address and let them get the tank out. its always in the basement so they can go to the dungeon. they enter without knowing whats going to happen. fyi i dont have lights in my dungeon. they end up getting the tank trouble free and i get cash in hand. we are both happy.

and by in his spare time he means all day when he's at work cuz that's all pawn people do, browse ebay and craigslist all day

If you know what you are doing $50 a week shouldn't be a problem. I don't have the time anymore to wait around for people to show up and buy stuff or go out and get stuff because of my work schedule now, but I have made money on there.

A lot of furniture isn't worth your time (I avoided it all together). Also, if you have the ability to deliver on bigger items (although risky bc going by people's verbal commitment that they will pay you when you arrive) you can hold your ground more on price.
