Resolving issues caused by copper in the water...

i believe it's a 125

The tank is a 135. After getting the water tested and approaching my landlord about the issues with the tank, she's going help me out on the cost for an RO unit for our water. Do the GE under-sink RO units (not the basic water filter, but the 12gal RO unit kit) do a decent job?

any RO system will do a good job, however you need to consider volume as well. Most under sink units will not be able to filter as many Gallons as say a unit made for a fish tank.

Coralife are not the best units made, however i purchased a 24GPD unit for around 107 with shipping to my location. IMO there a good deal, and my waters TDS tests 0ppm on the outlet. Other good units would be spectrapure, thefilterguyz and captive purity. These units will run a bit more.

Consider what your trying to reduce and this will help determine what type of filters to get. IMO a 1 micron sediment filter, 2 carbon blocks, because of copper and other issues, and then a TFC membrane will be more then plenty. www.thefilterguyz.com will be able to customize a unit for you by a simple phone call. Give them a shout and see what they think you should run. They are after all pros as well lol.

Good luck.
