It always makes me feel old and sad when an iconic figure from my youth kicks the bucket. He lived a long and presumably awesome life, but it still hurts to think that he is gone.

He was a great man and I will miss him. Time for a Star Trek marathon.

He really was a good man. I didn't/don't watch Star Trek but I came to know him through his work as a photographer. He used his work to try to change the perception of Hollywood beauty standard and photographed models of all shapes and size. Launched the full body woman collection after he realized most overweight girls walk around feeling ashamed of themselves. I know a few models/photographers that have paid homage to his work by doing a similar theme for models

Was saddened to hear of his passing, but at the same time he did live long and prosper; so it didn't end in a bad way.

I was just talking in work the other day about trek, how cast members must think "wow that was 50 years ago, and I was already in my thirties".
