my retic seems very healthy and very active. My issue is that when I watch him eat, I notice that it takes forever for him to eat krill. i mix in blood worms which he vacuums up, but the krill seems to be trouble. I was under the impression that rays had strong jaws. mine doesnt seem to be able to chew pieces of krill up. I dont think he even eats them. do I need to cut everything up into very little pieces or is it normal for a retic to take forever to eat a single piece of krill?

mine wont touch krill yet =(

If he is trying to chew up the krill then he is interested. I would say you need to chop it in to smaller pieces. I had a similer problem with redworms, I didn't chop them up enough so she chewed them up but eventually got tired and left the worms uneaten. When i chopped them up more she ate them all!

he's probably not eating the krill. he might be tasting it but spits it back out.

try fresh shrimp from you local supermarket.
Exacto... prob tasting it but doesnt like it... try soaking it in garlic or in zoa vitamins... or the fresh shrimp is a very good way to get him to eat krill eventually... for now try smaller chunks
