Raise the temp. to about 85 degrees. This will speed up your ray's metabolism, which should make him start eating. It worked for me. Also, try live blackworms or small live earthworms. You might also want to try to do a water change, as this could spark him to start eating. Hope this helps.

mine is scared of them too? the only way he will even look at them is if they are chopped up. then he will only swim over them...act like he is going to eat them and then just swim away. why wont he eat them? i am moving this weekend, but once i get moved i will try to find an lfs to get me black worms.

how long can this fish go without eating?
