Ya what do you consider non agressive rays?

some of the more docile rays ive had experience with are flower (dont recomend you get one yet) and yepezi type rays.... tigers can be aggressive but are usually doscile.... humerosa rays are usually easy going as well...

How long would you say?
A year maybe?
That would be cool, and if I cant get a bigger tank I could always sell it to a fellow ray keeper.

a year would be about right....

I think alot of it has to do with size.. when they are small they are very shy, and very timid eaters.. stress out from lots of simple stuff.. Like most rays, when they are larger, they get an attitude and become more aggressive when they are comfortable with their surroundings.

As far as other ray tankmates, I would think some of the more laid back rays like Tigers and Flowers would do good, but obviously max size and growth rate make it constraining..

I always wondered if Antenna rays could eat and compete with Retics.. would be cool to have all the long-tailed species together (retics, tiger, antenna).. but the latter 2 get huge.. so. :(

I would stay away from any type of Motoro or Motoro variant, Castexi, or even maybe Black rays (depending on size).. as most of the aggressive eating rays will stress out the retics.. Not much first hand experience with Hystrix or Scobinas, but I bet they would work, and likely be best candidates due to small size.

It's really trial and error and you're rays own personality.. size is huge. Most people are working with retics 10" or less.. I believe when they get 12-14" they can live with most any other ray as long as it's not too much larger.

flowers compared to motoros etc are pretty passive atleast from my experience... i know michael has kept multiple flowers with lots of different rays...

In my humble opinion I suggest keepings P.Reticulata with P.Reticulata. There is no shame or harm to having an elegant herd of Retics cohabitating with one another.
Jazz up your tank to suite the patterns of the rays and make it a stunning, species only set-up for these humble yet beautiful rays.

Flower were the only thing i could think of but not to hurt anyones feeling but i think that retics are one of the dullest rays out there and i have one too

I dont agree that if you wait a year to grow the retics out, that theyll be fine with motoros. Ive had my two for about a year and a half and I added a motoro about 2 months ago. They became very stressed and slowly stopped eating. I then divided them and they are doing alot better. I wouldnt really recomend mixing, atleat with my expieriance. I was told the same thing about half a year ago, that i should wait till theyre at least a year old. And I did, and it doesnt (usually) work out.
