retrics stay smaller then motoros at about a 18" disk size where motoros are normally around 24 .... and 30 for the bigger females now... retrics make up that smaller disk size with extremly long tails so.... its really a give and take.... I personnaly like motoros because I like the spots .... retrics to me are to plain.... but to each thier own

for the most part... but they normally just call any cheap ray that they couldnt identify at the wholesaler a teacup because of the way they look when they are little .... like a tea cup... Hope that helps

what the min tank size for them, still 180?

180 gallons is big enough so that you will not have problems with water quality but retics have very long tails so I would recommend a tank with at least a 30 inch width, bigger always being better.

Reticulated stingrays are often sold as teacups when they are under 5 inches. The long tail makes them need a tank with a larger width.

well.... 180 will do you for a while... but eventually it will still outgrow it

retics tend to be not really carred for by wholesalers cause they are cheap rays...

ive decided to hold off on getting a ray for now, but mark my word i will get a ray in the not to distant future
