Rays are sensitive and require pristine conditions. If your worried about 30-40$ on the price of a quality ray. Your probably not prepared to own one yet.

The budget's not the problem, it's the fact that it's alot more expensive than the one's that are much closer. The thing I'm looking for is a mature ray around 6"+ in diameter, the one's they're selling are possiblely only 3'' in diameter which is WAAAY too small for me. Correct me if I'm wrong but it if it's too small it doesn't matter if it's an immortal ray I'm sure my 9" Kelberi Pbass would make a snack out of it. Plus pups are very sensitive no matter how healthy they are. Does Spencer sell slightly larger retic rays? If so I'd gladly buy from him.Rays are sensitive and require pristine conditions. Sure but then there's my big hungry Kelberi....A quality pup is a better starting point then most matured pet store rays. Every single ray I have seen housed at a pet store had disc rot. Except for mississauga aquarium. They are top knotch.

True... They guy I bought him from (davenmandy) kept him in a 75 grow out at 7" with a school of six 2" silver dollars! I guess if him feed him well before i feed him he'll pay no attention, I'll also have to coax the ray to the bottom.9" Kelberi shouldn't eat a fish 3" in diameter. Would have to wait till someone with more experience chimes in. I have a 20" mono with 4" silver dollars and he doesn't bother them
