midway will tell you almost anything to make a sale sometimes, depends on who you talk too. i recently lost a $200 fish a week after i bought it there and they only refunded me $100 store credit, pretty much lost my buisness for a while.

okay i read it but i still need a big cool fish for my 150

What are the dimensions of your 150? I havn't seen a 150 that could house a jardini with any tankmates when full grown.

And just because an irresponsible person keeps an aro in a 55 gallon doesn't mean that its ok for you to put it in something a little bigger than that, but still not the minimum requirement for the fish. It is similar to saying, "That guy is murdering 6 people, I am only going to murder 2." Just because someone else does something wrong doesn't mean you just have to be just a bit better than them.

And if you want tankmates with the reticulated ray, then you can get...Just don't get a reticulated ray. If you want "big mean fish" for your 150 then just get some piranhas.

Jardini is a hard fish to keep IMO. I had one in a 270gal and it decided to murder half my tank. Catfish, plecos, cichlids it didnt really matter. Well fed well taken care of just wanted to kill. I got it at about 1.5" and i grew with all the other fish went from 20 gal to 75gal to 125gal to 270gal with no probs. When it hit about 18" the murder started. If i have a 2000 gal I would have no intrest in keeping a Jardini ever again.
