Wondering if anybody has gotten a hold of these. Or if anyone on MFK has some that they can share pics of.
 
Very cool, thanks for the link. He had those labeled as xinguensis. It's great to see any retroculus period. If that guy was still active it would be awesome to see an update of those.

That is an amazing video - these fish have been on mine/everyone's wish list for a WHILE. Its like they are a cross between Satanoperca and cichla - very interesting behavior, even for a geophagine. I can only imagine they are not more common due to the extreme cost and the fact that they are not hardy.
